The Autopsy of Jane Doe mixes multiple genres together in a rather unique way. With good actors, strong direction, and a solid intro and middle it feels good to watch, like there is solid substance to what is to come, but unfortunately it all unravels at the end. With a rushed, and slightly obscure explanation, combined with a formulaic ending it all just feels like we aren’t even watching the same movie we were an hour earlier. “if you like horror movies about demons, possession and generally just need the T.V. to be on while you do something else then watch The Damned. If you only have two choices and the other one is The Hollow, watch The Damned. Otherwise, I would just steer clear of this movie because it’s basically as much fun as the flash flood that started it all, except less roller coastery.” – 2.3/5 (genre)

“If Anguish was the movie that made me jump, The Sisterhood of Night is the movie that made me cry. By time I had reached the last 20 minutesĀ in the movie I was in love with all the characters. The narrative let me understand what they were going through, not on an intellectual level, but on an emotional one. It let me see the world through the eyes of young women who were lost and alone and just needed a safe place, needed someones ‘vow of silence’. ” – 4.3/5 (general) Continue reading
